Pre-Trip Meeting and MORE!

February 16, 2013

We came together on both January 19 and February 16 at Olathe North High School for an informational team-building meeting. 

We are just a lovely looking bunch, aren't we? 

During the Meeting

We watched videos on the Tokyo Sky Tree and the environmental healing of japan after the tsunami. Sensei's also went over packing standards, our trip itinerary and handling money. 

Team Building

For Team Building activities we were challenged to balance a single marshmallow on a designed tower of only uncooked spaghetti, tape and string. The group with the tallest tower won. Needless to say, some of us got pretty into it. ^^ 

Each group got a bag with the only things they could use


And...many of the towers didn't want to stand up


This was my group's tower, I'd like to thank my physics class for some inspiration.

After the Meeting


Everyone was invited to a gathering at Starbucks coffee in Target. We passed all our phones around and got each other's numbers! It was just to hang out with everyone and the coffee/tea also happened to be delicious.
